The Walker Art Gallery is hosting an exhibition dedicated to the 500th Anniversary of the death of Renaissance artist, Leonardo Da Vinci.
The ‘Leonardo Da Vinci: A Life in Drawing’ exhibition is in collaboration with the nationwide event organised by the Royal Collection Trust.
144 pieces of Da Vinci’s work in the Royal Collection will go on display in 12 simultaneous exhibitions across the UK, including Birmingham, Glasgow and Sunderland.
The display will explore subjects that inspired his works including: painting, architecture, sculpture, engineering and anatomy.
The exhibition will be starting February 1st and will last until May 6th 2019. The Walker Art Gallery is open every day 10am-5pm, and the exhibition will be free entry.
