Liverpool’s upcoming music scene

By Reanna Smith

This year could be Liverpool’s chance to bounce back in the music industry.

The city might be famous for the Beatles but there’s so much more to it’s music scene than most may think.

With events such as Sound City and Cream Classical in Sefton Park, Liverpool’s music scene is constantly developing.

But it’s thanks to the huge variety of independent venues that Liverpool’s passion for music is being kept alive.

Leaf on Bold Street, The Jacaranda and Phase One are just some of these venues, rejuvenating live music and giving new and upcoming musicians that chance to be heard.

Holding regular live performances, open mic nights and album launches, these venues are making sure that Liverpool continues to be the home to many establishing musicians with promising futures.

To find out more about the future for Liverpool’s music scene, take a listen to the clip below where I report on what the newest venue, Phase One, is doing.
