CBBC are calling on some of Merseyside’s best young footballers to take part in their new talent show “Can you kick it?” produced by Match of The Day. The search is on for young talented footballers, from the ages of 10 to 15. Girls and boys can both take part in the programme.
Trials will be taking place in various locations around the UK starting in late April until the middle of May. If the young footballers are chosen, they will take part in regional trials in Glasgow, Manchester or London. Brilliant ball skills and top technique will be needed to be accepted onto the programme.
The contestants, once chosen, will be asked to complete the Can You Kick It skills course, which is designed to test all of the aspects of the new game.
Ten youngsters will be selected to showcase their skills at St George’s Park, which is where England’s National teams play. The finalists will also be privy to coaching and mentoring from some of the UK’s top players and coaches.
Sadly, only four will make it to the finals, where one will be crowned the champion. The winner will receive a trophy, as well as tickets to a Premier League game, a double page interview in Match of The Day magazine, with the chance to appear in CBBC football-drama, Jamie Johnson.
