Two men have been arrested after a drugs raid at a cafe in Kensington, Liverpool.
A 20-year-old man from Walton and a 49-year-old man from West Derby were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply the class B drug.
The 20-year-old has been released under investigation, and the 49-year-old has been taken to a police station for questioning.
The cafe, on Holt Road, had around 40 customers at the time police raided the premises on Saturday (March 30).
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: “The premises have been re-secured and all furnishings removed.
“Should any persons try to enter they will be dealt with appropriately.”
Around 30 people were issued with cannabis street cautions or given penalty notices, police confirmed.
Community Policing Sergeant Hamilton said: “Cannabis is a controlled drug.
“Possession or the supply of cannabis and permitting the use of premises to smoke cannabis in illegal.
“I want to make it very clear that there is nowhere you are able to smoke cannabis legally in Merseyside.”
